Android x86 Installation

  1. Flash ISO to a USB thumb drive using your preferred means. Ubuntu’s website has a decent tutorial for doing this: https://help.ubuntu.com/community/Installation/FromUSBStick#Creating_a_bootable_Ubuntu_USB_flash_drive
  2. Go into your bios settings and make sure your thumb drive is first in the boot order.
  3. Run the live install and try it for a bit. If it works well and does everything you want you can choose to install to disk.
  4. To install to disk you need to boot off the thumb drive and choose the install option. NOTE: If you install to disk anything previously installed will be wiped if you aren’t careful. Also, by default the version of grub that is installed doesn’t detect your existing operating systems so you won’t be able to get to them if you don’t wipe them without work. You have been warned.  I will provide no support if you mess up your partition table or wipe Windows and don’t know how to get it back. You should only do this if you know what you are doing and can recover.
